Flap Reconstruction

Flap reconstruction is a type of breast reconstruction where your own tissue is used to reconstruct the breast. Flap reconstruction can be performed on either an immediate or delayed basis. Tissue is most commonly taken from the abdomen and occasionally from the back. These are known as the flap “donor sties”.
